Abstract Diptych from 2012, Flat File Friday

So this Flat File Friday I am focusing on an Abstract Diptych from the inventory that has had some interest from an Art Advisor by way of my Dealer, so Good news. The first image shows a studio install of the diptych with a background plastic overlay of pattern from 2020. Some paintings take time to get in front of the right buyer and especially larger works. I’ve always had a good feeling about this one. It is challenging to photograph especially with the bright Yellow and Blue which may appear jarring. In person it is less so.

The flower motif in the background is an idea I am still using form time to time in new work, mostly works on paper.

The diptych was shown beautifully I might add in Houston in 2013 with my dealer at the time Zoya Tommy Gallery. ZTG closed after some personal life altering events in 2018? Things are great again for Zoya and she seems to be back in business, as a private dealer and the Art World is a better place for it with her positive energy.
