This painting is from of a group of acrylic on paper works I am currently making. Compositions that incorporate a repeating motif, a four point flower with a center, randomly tossed on a grid. I’m not sure if there is such a thing as a four petal flower I believe there are three and five and so on but anyway this is my world.

So while adding to this group of works on paper I am thinking of larger works incorporating this motif and my thoughts move to what’s next? I organically return to more representational ideas. The paintings I’m thinking of making require more precision, and energy. Utilizing my recent practice of stencil and tracing, drawing…Always trying to stay one step ahead.
