Focus, keeping it small. 9/1/17

So this is my third attempt at posting this morning. This humans error. Evidently I was not logged in and nothing was saved. My challenge: Stay calm and focus. Both attempts seemed coherent, about keeping the focus on work blah blah. Climb every mountain.

When a patch of blue denotes water, near shapes resembling land and others that bring to mind clouds or sky. This happened yesterday the verdict is out we shall see when I return to work this afternoon. It was very pleasing at the time. Applying the Automatic Drawing approach, a term I was exposed to by Eric Dever in a painting class He conducted at Madoo Conservancy. In retrospect I've utilized the method most of my life. Its history is fascinating and a great discovery. Wiki. All happening on a diptych, (2) 24"x20" ea., overall 24"x40" Loving this format right now.

With gratitude to Painters past and present I move on. Remembering that it's just canvas and paint. With the appropriate amount of pressure, to have fun and challenge myself to make something worthwhile. Anyway, thank you Squarespace for allowing me the platform to express my thoughts and keeping me humble by deleting them.

This in not the painting I am referring to in the post but a detail of something recent that is the same size, 24"x40".
